My holistic vet recommended this probiotic for my dog. She recommends for all dogs. It not for cats although they do make a separate product for cats and one for humans also. She told me traditional probiotics never make it to your pet's gut. Ever. Quite simply, they don't survive the acid and bile in the stomach. PROBONIX is the only product she knows of where the probiotics reach their destination. My dog, a goldendoodle is prone to allergies and other digestive problems. She would sometimes refuse to eat. Once I started giving it to her regularly she never refused a meal again. Except when I was away for 5 days and I forgot to tell my daughter to give it to her, she started to refuse her food again. When I was back home again and giving it to her regularly she was eating every meal again. She is a medium size dog and I put 8 drops on her meal every morning.
