STP-DS Silver Saver Sink Stopper, Polished Stainless Steel

Was a bit doubtful if my measurement of the original to be replaced was accurate - the rubber flange had perished. But I needn't have worried. This fits perfectly. Happy bunny. I'd hate to have to replace the whole waste disposal unit just because of a defunct Sink Stopper.

We are very pleased with this item. It is far better and simpler to use in the waste disposal than the original one. Marvellous!

I had spent a lot of money on sink stops to match my Kohler sink which made running the disposal unit very messy. I switched to this stopper and it works perfectly: one twist to seal, another twist and light pull to open the gap and let water flow off, a stronger pull to take the stopper out completely. I clean it in the dishwasher and it still looks like new, unlike the Kohler strainer which lost its metal coating within days.

Works well and is watertight

Très bon produit

We recently had to replace our garbage disposal after our old Badger 5 1/2 stopped working. A plastic measuring spoon accidentally fell in and got stuck. While trying to remove it, we ended up breaking the spoon inside the unit. So we upgraded to the Evolution 45SS. With a busy household and kids in the kitchen, it is realistic to assume that utensils or small items will fall into the disposal again. I have dropped metal cutlery before, so this time I wanted an extra layer of protection. That is why I purchased the InSinkErator SilverSaver stopper. It fits perfectly in our disposal and does exactly what it is supposed to do. It helps prevent larger items from accidentally going down while still allowing water to drain. …. The water does take a little longer to go down compared to having the opening fully clear, but that is a reasonable tradeoff for avoiding another disposal issue. I also tend to use very hot water when cleaning pots and pans, so I am hoping the stainless steel holds up well over time despite frequent temperature changes. So far, it feels solid and works well, and I am optimistic it will last. I bought this at an Amazon discounted price as an open box product. As you can see in the video, there were some tapes on the packaging, but the product itself was in great condition. Saving some money while getting exactly the same product was a nice bonus. Overall, a simple but practical addition if you want to help protect your garbage disposal from accidental drops.

I have an Insinkerator garburator that came with our home. The plug that was with it never worked. I replaced my sink and ordered a new quick lock mounting flange (great) and ordered this to plug the sink. The sink finally works when plugged. Meaning it doesn't drain water within minutes. Love the product line.

Fitted perfectly and does exactly what it says. And yes it falls over a little, but does that actually matter?

This should be included with every new insinkerator disposer - especially if you fill the sink to wash dishes. Previous reviews say this is an exact replacement for their original stopper, but our brand new Insinkerator only came with a basic black plastic plug. No more small pieces or cutlery ending up in the grinder when you don't find them before draining the sink. The drain plug is a snug fit and makes a perfect seal to fill the sink and is easy to open for draining.
